Thank you Ngozi.
When you spend eight hours with the same people in the same place for months and years, you’re likely to start thinking of them as your friends. In fact, some people may start assuming they’re “family”.
Well, colleagues will often become friends, and some may come closer home, but it’ll amount to a misplaced expectation if you think your colleagues MUST be your friends.
See, friends look out for each other, colleagues, not always. Friends seek each other’s growth unbiasedly, colleagues, can’t really say. So, stay focused on getting the job done; being your best all the time. Let friendship be a fall out of a great working relationship, not the purpose. Cheers.
