There are two kinds of organizations or teams: those that encourage, support and celebrate innovative initiatives and those that say they do.
There are two kinds of organizations or teams: those that encourage, support and celebrate innovative initiatives and those that say they do. The difference between both teams are worlds apart. And trying to lead innovation in either team comes with different experiences.
There are many steps in the innovation process, but this is not the subject of this write-up. Instead, I want to share three core characters every innovative leader must possess.
First, you must be #resilient. New ideas are not always welcomed on the first pitch. Second, you must be #sure. Test your ideas against multiple layers of possible resistance. Lastly, you must know when to #drop #it. If you believe in your ideas so much, try realizing them elsewhere. Sometimes, this is the best way to stay innovative. Cheers.
