Thank you Ngozi.
Thinking about Rev. Martin Luther King Jr, the first thing that jumps at you is the record of his courage. Not just the courage to march in protest in the Montgomery Bus Boycott, nor Birmingham Alabama, nor on the streets of Washington. But the full scale of courage–in thought, in speech, in action.
Leaders show courage, especially in their thoughts. It takes the Rev. King’s kind of courage to dream dreams that are practically impossible in your lifetime. Dreams that reach into the distant future, and bring to life what others never think is possible.
The courage in speech leaders show, is their ability to share those courageous thoughts in compelling words that stir the minds of even the most pessimistic. And go on to walk the talk.
Friend, you need to allow yourself to think courageously, speak courageously and above all, act courageously. This is Martin Luther King Jr’s dream for you. Cheers.
