THE THIRD EYE OF LEADERS

  • October 20, 2022

The air was tensed. The night was cold. America was on the edge of the union’s cliff as the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, was shot in the head at the Ford’s Theatre in Washington DC. The next morning, 15th April, 1865, 7:22am, he was pronounced dead.

The Ancient One, as he was called by White House insiders, went down as one of America’s Greatest Leaders, even though his reign spanned only four years. It was markedly impactful, especially for two reasons: Preserving the Union and Abolishing Slavery.

The leadership success of people like President Lincoln, is largely because of their strong and palpable vision. Vision is to a leader what a map and compass is to a traveller; it shows you the road to your destination.

You cannot begin to lead unless you have identified your vision. Where are you going? How will you know when you arrive? This is the Third Eye every leader has, and so should you. Cheers.
